Q. How many passengers can I bring on a charter?
A. Maximum number of passengers is twelve (12).
Q. Can I bring my own food and beverages?
A. Yes, we also offer provisioning services and can stock the vessel with your favorite food and beverages prior to your arrival.
Q. Can I charter the boat overnight?
A. Currently, we only offer day trips but have been known to make special exceptions.
Q. Where are the boats located?
A. Our vessels are located in Newport Beach harbor.
Q. Can you pick up/ drop off up at a location of our choosing?
A. Tell what you have in mind … if we can dock the vessel and be compliant with city and harbor regulations we will make best effort to accommodate.
Q. Can I drive the boat?
A. All of our vessels are driven by USCG licensed captains. However, if you wish to take the wheel just ask us!
Q. What level of experience do I need to take the Powerboat School courses?
A. We have taught individuals with ALL levels of prior experience and will tailor the course to meet your specific capabilities and objectives.
Q. How many hours is the introductory Powerboat course?
A. Our Basic Maneuvering & Safety course is 16 hours. Generally we break it into 4 X 4 hours classes but that can be modified to fit your schedule.
Q. How many students are in a Powerboat course?
A. Our minimum class size is 2 students … it is also our ideal class size. A student-to-teacher ratio of 2:1 ensures everyone gets time lots of time at the wheel and individual instruction.
Q. Where and when do you teach the Night Operations class?
A. The Night Operations class is taught approximately 1-2 miles off the Newport Beach coastline. The offshore sunset is a big part of the fun!
